Hard to say, we are dealing in generalities here. Specific examples can be anomalies. What she wanted, you do not know but she wanted something.

Why did Hannah and Katie both say that they hadn't found the guy they wanted yet when I quizzed them about the matter? If they were interested in something it was probably not me, then...

You are probably doing too much quizzing and not enough greasy talk.

Greasy talk?

The kind of conversation that perked her attention right up. They expect you to approach and ask them early. You can never really be out of line being aggressive, greasy talk as I call it works! This is not a difficult game to play, I have told you many stories, they were all true.

I tried it with one girl (not one of those three I mentioned) and she accused me of being a pervert/immature.

Like everything else it is a skill that has to be acquired. That result you got is much better than the result you are getting right now. That sounds crazy but a reaction, any reaction is much superior to being ignored.

Well, I thought there was an opening with Hannah because our e-mails started to get a lot more personal/about physically intimate details, and she said she wanted to ask me more, but then all of a sudden she stopped replying.

You should have replied yourself and not waited. The longer you wait the harder it gets. The longer you wait the harder they get.

But I thought that when the ball is in her court, a further response from me would be weak. I had sent the last message.

Sometimes or even th majority of times you have to adopt the same strategy other guys use. Continued attack will break down their defenses. You can post or ask 1000 times when you are being aggressive, this is not the same as being indecisive.

How should I ask if I am being too aggressive?

Also, I have found a really easy way to get the convergents using any continued fraction... I think. I was able to solve Pell equations this way.

Speak of the devil, Katie replied.

She ignored the greasy-talk and seems to prefer to talk about bland stuff instead...

Then that tells you something about her intentions. But you still need to know what it is she wants from you.

How do I find that out?

I should be at school but I skipped my boring tutorial (we never do anything important, ever), but have to go in at 2 PM.

And sadly my continued fraction method doesn't seem to work for root 11. Unless I found the convergents incorrectly.

That is why I learned to ask early. Very early! Did you know that a girl decides whether or not she is going to be intimate with you in the first 5 minutes? If she knows, I want to too!

What did you get for your cf?

I need to learn how to tell whether or not a girl has made that decision... supposedly, the average job interviewer has decided whether or not to employ you in the first 8 seconds!

Well, I used my 'identity' (which I just found on some Wikipedia page so is more likely to be true... I guess):

Letting x = 11 yields

or

which gives the CF as [1; 0.2, 2, 0.2, 2, 0.2, ...] with period 2.

This gives the convergents:

[1, 6, 17/7, 47/12, 179/59, 414/119, ...]

None of which will solve the equation x[sup]2[/sup] - 11y[sup]2[/sup] = ±1.

For positive 1 the fundamental solution is x = 10 , y = 3.

I know, but, I don't know how to get that from my continued fraction. It seems like there are many CFs for root 11, but you need a specific one to find the right convergents and thus solve that Pell equation... right?

Yes, the way I showed you is the right way for a Pell- Fermat equation.

These are the correct convergents.

The method you are using gets a cf. There are many cf's for a constant. There is no reason to assume that it would work for solving a Fermat - Pell equation.

One oddity is the fact that you do not have all integers in your cf's representation.
