As far as I could determine, and this is just my guess their need to be liked is the underlying reason for the partying.
This need to be liked is a direct consequence of their low self esteem and general lack of confidence.

Yep.
I've also noticed the numbers of e-mails she's been sending me each day have been slowly decreasing. For 30, then about 20, then 11, and yesterday it was only 8.
