Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That is true. I do not know how that will turn out but even if it goes no further you have gained some experience and will do better next time.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes -- I hope I will do better next time, too. Maybe I will get a peck on my cheek, who knows!

(At my school this sort of thing is only new to someone a good 6 years younger than me... although everyone starts at different ages.)

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes, it depends on cultures and times too. As you know Grandpappym was married when he was 15. My sister says it was 14. His bride was 13 years old. They were soon on a boat headed for America. In those days you would have been married by now.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That is very young. Especially given that the average age for marriage these days is about twice that, or something.

Chatting a bit with PJ since we're doing the same experiment in chemistry. All work-related though.

Back then you were expected to be an adult by about 12.

PJ? Refresh my memory on that one.

She is the slightly elitist English one who wanted to do zoology and looks down on mathematicians.

Yes, yes, I remember her now. Thank you! Is she still worshipping that Attenborough fellow?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Probably... Katie says she likes Attenborough too although she is a mathematician.

Katie and PJ are quite similar actually, although PJ is more egotistical and not as good-looking.

It would be so much more pleasant if I were pursuing a girl I was fairly attracted to.

If it does not happen for awhile then it does not. Dating is an activity that should be done more sparingly then say homework guy does.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

What do I do about adriana though? Would it be wise to still visit her?

I suppose it isn't too bad; I get to be close to a girl and have her rest against me for an evening, even those she doesn't reciprocate any feelings. I would be getting something more out of it than she thinks... sneaky.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

As long as you do not start feeling sappy feelings for her hang with her all you like. Take whatever she is offering and then take a bit more. The person who remains detached controls the relationship. I do not think it is a good idea to let it be her.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I think I can remain detached to an extent. I like the way she smells for instance but she does not know that. That is another thing I am getting out of it.

Question is why she continues to talk to me so often and cuddle with me, despite rejecting me twice.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

but she does not know that.

Whoa, big mistake. Never underestimate their abilities along those lines. She knows and you can not hide it.

despite rejecting me twice.

What rejection? You only asked to be polite remember? Program your mind that way then when she reads you she will find nothing to exploit.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

But how could she possibly know, it's just me breathing... no gawking, no giveaways. And if she knew why would she continue to be close to me?

Maybe if I hang on long enough I'll get something nice out of it.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Ever been able to tell that someone was staring at you even when they were behind you? A good poker player can often tell what another player has in his hand. Gut feelings are undocumented but they do exist. Theirs are highly developed when it comes to boy - girl.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hmm. She appears to ignorant at times though... acted as though my attraction to her was a surprise. Maybe she was faking.

I am wondering about pursuing Hannah. Apparently adriana and Hannah are not close at all, they're just in each others' maths classes and talk from time to time. But... I have no attraction to Hannah.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That is the point. You knew she was acting. She did know. Maybe? It is 100 to 1 she knew.

First you should find out about her status.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes, I am going to do that. Problem is she can take an annoyingly long time to reply, e.g. 10 days. Not a good sign.

Then again, adriana didn't reply to me for about 6 weeks, until suddenly I decided to e-mail her again and now we average 30 e-mails per day. Speaking of which, she is going to Cyprus on Friday so I'll only get to talk to her until Thursday... then it's a week's wait. Not that that's bad, it was just nice having someone to talk to.

Wish her a good trip. Perhaps you should not even have asked when she was coming back. Definitely do not say you will miss her or can not wait for her to come back.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I didn't say that thankfully, but I did wish her a good trip. She said she's taking her laptop but is unsure if she'll be able to get WiFi, but if she can, she'll send me a surprise e-mail.

Of course if I hear that she's got back with her boyfriend and they love each other more than ever, I'll know what she's all about.
