Hmm. I agree, it seems the ones in the sciences seem to be pretty arrogant and unpleasant. Maybe I am unfortunate to be in my field. (Or entering it I suppose.)

I have had some crazy neighbours too. My last one vacuumed at 4 AM, randomly hammered nails into bits of wood at midnight (for no purpose, it was just a bit of wood) and would occasionally scream and throw laptops and condoms out the window.

Sadly I don't think I'm going to get a reply from adriana tonight, maybe tomorrow.

I have had something very similar! I had a neighbour when I was about 5 or 6 who invited strippers over to his. He was a bit of a drug addict and was often found naked on our doorstep doing inappropriate things; when my parents were not around, he would often give me money and tell me to buy some sweets with it. One night, one of the strippers stabbed him, and he kicked and clawed at our door screaming "she cut me, she cut me!". It scared me at that age, and I think is the reason why I had nightmares so often as a child. A lot of other stuff contributed to that too, not just him. A few weeks later I saw him again -- in a body bag. I can remember not being sad, just feeling really sick and wanting to puke.

Well, I guess it's not really similar, as your neighbour sounds a bit crazier than this one... you said he is a former neighbour, he is in prison now?

Thank you. I talked to another girl from her school (adriana and Hannah go to an all-girls school), who said the girls are pretty inexperienced and haven't had boyfriends. Maybe I have a higher probability of success with these two because of that.

Then again, F went to an all-girls school too.

I hope so. The girl from the UCL open day apparently told my friend that she thought I was hot, and wished she had asked me out but was too shy. That raised my confidence quite a bit.

My friend said she thinks I'm a pervert and has completely changed her opinion about me because I don't have the same attitude to intimacy that she does. I don't really mind, no loss for me, plenty more women out there and like I said I'm not committing to anything as absurd as her demands.
