Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaLike I said before although she is brutal she at least dropped you quickly and cleanly. Some of them like to torture. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6728 20130116 09:40:53
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHistorically I have had one big crush every three years. One when I was 8, I was obviously very immature back then. Another immature one when I was 11. A slightly more serious one at 14, and then F at 17. I don't know if this pattern is a coincidence but it would explain why I haven't felt strongly about anyone this year and have been 'playing the field' a bit more, so to speak. #6729 20130116 09:44:58
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaCrushes are disastrous. Save that for the girl that is worth that. One you know at least right now is on your side. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6730 20130116 09:48:29
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI think I have just closed myself off to protect myself from being hurt again; I think that might be partially why I'm so hesitant to ask girls out, to be honest. I remember thinking "time to be a man, ask F out, what's the worst that could happen?"... and regretted doing that for the whole year. #6731 20130116 09:54:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou have to learn how to be tougher than that. Dating a girl and breaking up is a different thing. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6732 20130116 09:56:08
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI think that will take a lot of trial and error. What hurt about F was that she didn't actually say 'no'. She just walked away from me and smiled which made me confused... I should have been smarter than that and quickly forgot about her. But you only learn through experience I suppose. #6733 20130116 10:05:04
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaListen, I have asked lots of girls and only 2 of them did not give me a straight no and wanted me to ask again. Just two out of many dozens. The rest were clear in their answer of yes. Any answer other than "I would love to," is insufficient and a sure sign of danger. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6734 20130116 10:07:34
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIn the next couple of weeks I will be asking someone out. Maybe I should just ask them all out, kill 5 birds with one stone. #6735 20130116 10:12:12
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaProbably not the best idea, what if they all say yes? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6736 20130116 10:13:48
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThen I will have to get my little black book out and find 5 suitable times and dates. #6737 20130116 10:24:53
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSpread them out maybe a week apart is the best way. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6738 20130116 10:25:15#6739 20130116 10:34:18
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat way it only takes a couple of weeks to find out where you stand and gives you enough time between girls to date one or more should she say yes. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6740 20130116 10:38:52
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOkay. But I still cannot ask both Hannah and adriana out. The other will know very quickly. I must choose. #6741 20130116 10:42:00
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYes, there you choose. But it is not unheard of to ask both out at different times. If you do date one, you may find the other one suddenly is more interested in you. Girls love stealing boyfriends. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6742 20130116 10:47:37
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI could wait between asking Hannah and adriana out. I think I'm more likely to get a yes from adriana than Hannah though. Although I think Hannah is slightly hotter, both are equally nice. #6743 20130116 10:49:12
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaListen, nice is part of the attraction. A girl with just okay looks can suddenly be very attractive because of her personality. I learned that the hard way. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #6744 20130116 11:03:35#6745 20130116 11:12:00

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI find that tends to happen less often in person. Although in some ways I feel the phone is more personal and there is more emphasis on what you say, since there aren't any other factors involved or ways in which you can communicate. #6749 20130116 23:49:04

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI don't think I've got that type of phone call before...
