They love it if you are strong and show no humility, be arrogant and math... but my worry is that when I act that way towards them, I will actually get like that. I don't want to become that kind of person.

Going to ask adriana when her last exam is.

Ever try to change anything about yourself? It is darn near impossible. Most people do not know how. You should develope a different personality for different situations. You never show the real one, if you can even find it yourself. You put each persona into a compartment in your mind and use it when necessary.

I think my persona when I am alone is very different to my persona when interacting with just about everyone else. It is especially different around women.

That is what you need to develop. This is not aggression, this is survival. They love to play with a man's head until they have him babbling and insane. That is why we need defenses too.

Yes, F did that to me. I would not be thinking about her so much if I were stronger.

A few bumps on the head are perfect for forming scar tissue. Lots of scar tissue and you have a hard exterior while the interior remains soft and chewy.

They say a man is three men, the man he thinks he is, the man the world thinks he is and the man he really is.

I don't know if my exterior is getting any harder. When will it get harder? For some reason I had a dream about F a few nights ago, and it was just me and her in a park, hugging. I don't know why I dreamed that but when I woke up I was thinking about her for the whole day.

That is just residual traces, those go away too. Start thinking about one of the new ones, that will help you forget.

I know that the best way to move on is to get with another girl. But I've never had dreams about any of the others...

Takes a little experience to shut that out of your mind. Sometimes you can not and then you will suffer for a long time. I think the best thing is to be more selective on those you choose.

That is a skill I need to develop too. I never thought F would act the way she has, and it's certainly possible that any of the others girls could do that too (except Rhona, I don't see her doing that to be honest).

If you are right then you are developing the skill to spot the ones who might play games from the ones who definitely will and the ones who will not.

That is 90% of the battle right there. We talked about the guys who pick well versus the guys who do not.

PJ would definitely play games.

Rhona, I doubt it.

adriana, hmm, don't know much about her. She could.

Hannah, same as above.

Katie, I think she could play games.

You will make some mistakes even with more experience but it should cut the mistakes down.

I have to do some shopping see you later.

Hi;

So you plan on going to UCL, good luck and study hard.

I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.

Thank you, I will. Another good thing is that I get £2000 or so extra because living in London is more expensive. And I might see someone I know from school going there too (although not many people get in from my school since we don't get that good results, but I have a feeling my friend will get in, for maths no less).

No response heard from adriana or PJ yet.

What will you study there? What type of math do you like?

In the first year you can't choose what you study. There is a good summary if you Google "UCL maths course" and click on "undergraduates". A lot of the modules that I find interesting are in second year though. At Cambridge you do a lot of that second year stuff in the first year but maybe the slower pace of the course would be better for me.

**zetafunc.****Guest**

My favourites from there were complex and real analysis, probability and statistics, and number theory. I find mathematical methods and the economics stuff kind of boring.

There is some good stuff in that list how many can you take at once?

I'm not sure... I think everything in the first year is compulsory though.

Hi;

You have Applied and mathematical methods in there, just one course in Analysis and one in Algebra.

Yes. I like the sound of the stuff in 2nd year though.

I heard of some guy who did Year 1 and Year 2 in one year, to save money on tuition fees. That looks really difficult though.

Is that an option that you have?
