Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Who could they be consulting about this?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

An older girl, a parent, someone on a forum...

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I don't get the impression that Katie has much experience. She seems a bit introverted. Of course, I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

You are asking for advice from someone else why is it impossible that she is too.

As a matter of fact she has played the game perfectly so far.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

No, I'm not saying that that is impossible, I am saying that she has not got a lot of experience, like me.

What do you mean she is playing the game perfectly...?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

One could consider dating a game. It has goals and rules and players. All the girls play well whether you think they do or not. It seems to be instinctive to them.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

If it is instinctive to them, why would it not be instinctive to men too?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I really do not know the reason for that. I guess is because men do not have to go through life using guile to get by. In the old days you just grabbed the one you wanted, fought off three guys who also wanted her and then dragged her kicking and screaming into your cave. She was now your wife.

This approach has been deprecated.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I am sure that approach would not work too well in this day and age... (although some seem to like being treated like that)

No reply from Katie today, I guess she is working on that maths problem. And I know R is busy meeting the cast of Merlin.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I think it was Freud ( I do hate quoting this jerk but...) who said,"If men knew what women were thinking they would be 10 times more aggressive."

In Vegas we say,"even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then." Perhaps he found his acorn right then?

Controlled aggression, surely? I do not know what he means by aggression, exactly...

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

To define it meaning in the advances he would be less subtle and more to the point. For instance our cave dweller would probably achieve a 95% success rate if he looked and sort acted like Brad Pitt.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

So those who do not look or act like Brad Pitt or adopt the caveman method will have a far worse success rate.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

The point is most men do not use the approach that girls really want, according to Sigmund.

So, I have already failed in a sense with Katie/R/IY.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Still time to make amends though. In modern times we do have some rules that the cave dweller never heard of. The longer you take to ask them the harder it is and the weaker you look.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

And the only way to amend the situation is to ask them out right away?

It seems a lot of guys at my school have success with girls they have known for a long time...

None. Maybe R since I met her a long time ago, but I did not know her that well before.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I do not have any others apart from Katie/R though. I cannot really count  IY anymore because I see her so rarely.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

When you did not make any move you naturally would see her less and less. Remember they tire quickly!

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well, I naturally saw her less and less because IY dropped chemistry and all my lessons are at a different region of the school compared to hers... I don't think it was an active decision she made.

You make it sound like girls can see what I am planning with every move, but in the past I think almost all of them were genuinely surprised at the fact that I liked them. Apart from C probably.

Kaboobly doo! Never believe that. The two girls you are now talking to knew from the first minute.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I wonder if it's worth asking C when she knew. I lose nothing by asking her...
