Have I waited to long with R and Katie?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Perhaps, girls get used to instant questions.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

They get asked for dates very quickly. Some within 5 minutes.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I really need to see some sign of interest before I do that or it will just be another rejection, though.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

You should not keep score of your rejections. Who does that?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I keep score of my number of successes too. That is easier though.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes, that is the point. Wouldn't it be better to not even know how many you missed on?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well, it depends on how much relative success you've had. I can't help but keep track, though.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I do not think I have done better than the average. But it violates the principle of detachment to keep count.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

If you went to the store to get some snacks and they did not have your favorite brand so you bought something else would that bother you for weeks or months?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hmmmm. I was afraid you were going to say that.

The legendary Johnny Moss used to say after having a bad game:

Learn what you can from it and then forget about it.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Maybe it will be easier to forget when the number gets a lot larger than nine.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hundreds, possibly thousands...

I think to get that high I'd have to increase my current rate though, in which case I'd gradually forget about them (and even if I did get that high, say, 1000 or something, I wouldn't have much certainty in that number since I couldn't possibly retain a vivid representation of that many people in my head).

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Thousands? You might get around to a couple of dozen in your entire life. Maybe 200 dates in an entire life if you are really so inclined.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

A couple dozen? I'm 17 and I have had 9 rejects so far -- surely there would be more than a couple dozen?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hi;

That is not that bad. You will learn how to deal with both the rejection and the other more horrible alternative.

I am making some soup so I will be away from the computer for a while. See you then.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

What I mean is, I do not even know if I am ready to have a friend (much less a girlfriend) in my house. The last time I have had friends over was when I was about 12 and I have never had a girl over. I would prefer it if I had my own place.
