Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That is a long time. I do not think you are going to get a reply.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.

So, what do I do?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

You want to talk to her?

Only to get more clues. I have no desire to talk about animal psychology.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Is she talking to you in person enough?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

She talks to me occasionally. Like what happened yesterday, or just to ask me a quick question. But she is not actively avoiding me either because she asked me for that chemistry sheet.

Why not wait till you see her in person?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Because she isn't that talkative in person and is probably more likely to admit her feelings in an e-mail I think.

Then give it a shot but be prepared for a no answer.

That I can not say. I do not know even what you want to ask her.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I need to get her talking and to reveal more about herself (on a personal level).

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That would only be important if you are interested in her.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hmm. I guess I should wait for her to do something then.

C has an appointment at 11:20 on Wednesday to see the higher education advisor. I am usually there around that time. Should I go somewhere else instead?

Nope. Just do what you always do. Nothing more or less. Just do not notice her.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Okay.

Is my presence making C feel a bit nervous, do you think? I remember when I sat (unknowingly) behind F in the school library, she turned round and saw me, and started doing the whole 'nervous cough' thing and left a few minutes later.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I believe so. Would be helpful if one of them would say why but that is unlikely.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well, I thought it was clear why -- they just don't want to have to face me after rejecting me. It was awkward for them. F could have spared herself a whole lot of that (and me too) if she had just said 'no' rather than walk away without saying anything.

Yep, here's the rejection text:

"Hey, sorry I missed your call. And I'm really sorry but no, I'll see you after summer though, hope you have a great holiday. -Ciara"

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That is very nice and polite, much better than F's no answer. So, why is she acting the same way F would?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

She is probably embarrassed to face me. She's realised that all this time I've had feelings for her (hence, the reason for the texts, the calls, and talking to her). I am no longer seen as that guy who is great at maths and chemistry. But I suppose that is a good thing.

I'm a bit surprised at her behaviour too, which is why I was tempted to say hello to her when I first saw her because I'm sure a lot of people would not see much harm in it after receiving a text like that.

Is it easier for you to remember initials or names?
