Well, I thought it was clear why -- they just don't want to have to face me after rejecting me. It was awkward for them. F could have spared herself a whole lot of that (and me too) if she had just said 'no' rather than walk away without saying anything.

She is probably embarrassed to face me. She's realised that all this time I've had feelings for her (hence, the reason for the texts, the calls, and talking to her). I am no longer seen as that guy who is great at maths and chemistry. But I suppose that is a good thing.
I'm a bit surprised at her behaviour too, which is why I was tempted to say hello to her when I first saw her because I'm sure a lot of people would not see much harm in it after receiving a text like that.
