What if the girl is particularly good-looking?

Anything but C and F is fine.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

What? The girl who I saw in my peripheral vision was not C. It was a friend of hers. I was noticing her, before C came, at which point I rotated my chair.

I do not know how good your chances would be with any friend of C. I would tend to think that they would not be good.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hmm. So, that would mean IY is even more unlikely a prospect. How do I figure out whether or not IY knows I asked C out?

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I would say she knows because they tell all their friends everything. Perhaps H does not care. She might hang with C but not like her.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

What does H have to do with this? H is at uni right now and definitely has no clue who C or IY are...

Did you mean IY? I doubt it... they seem like best friends. I've seen photos of them together since they were very young and I even heard IY say, of C, "we're a team!".

Sorry, meant IY. People have falling outs and when, it comes to dating they might be competing.

They may not be that close. I would not worry about what happens to C.

Going to take a break to do some chores. see you later.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Okay, see you later.

We had "Parents Evening" today, where your parents come in to talk to your subject teachers about your progress. My parents couldn't make it so I went alone, but I really just went to talk to my friends who I don't see very often. I very nearly bumped into C. In fact, she was within inches from me, but she just walked past me. We were in an extremely narrow corridor and my back was against the wall (the corridor is only about a metre wide but has rooms on both sides so there are people with backs to their walls on both sides, waiting to go inside). C had to go to a room which was only a few metres away from mine. After about a minute when she walked past me, I looked behind me to see if she was gone, but she was there looking at me, so I quickly turned round and turned my back to her and continued talking to my friends.

Then I saw her AGAIN when I was near the staff room, just catching up with my friends, she clearly noticed me but again just walked past me (tried not to look at me).

You should not have turned around. Now, she knows you still are paying attention to her. You are not acting like you do not care, or even better really feeling that way.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I don't think so. Everyone looks up and down that corridor. It is so narrow that those are the only ways you can look.

If she knows I'm still paying attention to her, why does it matter anyway?

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yeah, because she rejected me, and she doesn't want to face me because she assumes that I'm hurt and can't bear the thought of talking to me with that in mind. Possibly afraid I might be angry with her even.

That is only conjecture. That is your viewpoint and you are projecting onto her. It might be correct it might not. You do not know what she is thinking and feeling and neither does she.
