Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I do not think she is aware of it. Of course, little things like looking at who enters a room, and realising it is C and then looking away, is something I cannot avoid. She may have spotted that. But I am certainly not gawking at her. I just tend to look at people and what they do. It is clear that she is just feeling awkward about rejecting me, and doesn't know what to say and hoping she doesn't bump into me. I would not say this is the same situation as H, because I'm not continuously pestering C with texts and e-mails.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I saw C today too, hanging around the door. She was with her friend, but I knew her friend, and so an interesting scenario had revealed itself. Whenever her friend would say "____, could I borrow a pen please?", C would sort of turn away and pretend to be doing something else so as to avoid eye contact.

Why would there be eye contact unless you were staring at her.

So she was sort of back and forth, up and down the room, trying to hang around with her friend, but not wanting to risk direct contact with me.

You noticed all that. Why do you care what she does?

I did notice though, that when she sat on a table a few metres away from me, that when I coughed, she glanced at me for a second, and quickly turned back.

You are possibly observing her too much.

It's also worth noting that, when C and her friend first entered the room, they both sat in a spot which was the furthest spot from me in the room, with C having her back to me. I am pretty sure this was deliberate.

She knows you are watching her. I think that is pretty obvious. Try to sit with your back to C. By you watching her you are allowing her to reject you every day. One rejection is enough.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

When you are looking in somebody's general direction, and that person makes eye contact with you, often I quickly look at that person as a reflex, then look away. I wanted to avoid this and she probably did too.

Because if she is suddenly coming to come up to me and confront me about something, then I must be prepared.

Well, she was directly to my right, and I was doing work at my table -- I coughed, and in the corner of my eye I saw her look...

Why can I not find a way to talk to her as a friend again? I have been rejected by a couple of girls in the past, who talked to me normally again and even started talking to me more afterwards.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Some people can not deal with it. I suggest you abandon any hope of her being your friend. She needs time to deal with it. Give her room.

How much time? It has been over 3 months. She also said "I'll talk to you in September". Where is the talking?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That is not an ironclad promise. She has no intention of talking to you. She said that to put you off. Girls, rarely tell the truth. This is the biggest myth in the world that just men are liars. The true statement is, both genders lie like crazy.

Maybe asking out IY first would have been better. She appears to gossip less.

Clearly yes. She has said hello to me several times. Sometimes I wonder if C really didn't tell IY...

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

IY would have to be pretty stupid to listen to C. Besides girls are often competing with each other for the same guys. They like the thrill of stealing their friends boyfriends.

Clearly yes. She has said hello to me several times.

True, but up till now you have always found some reason why you could not ask her right then.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

So, asking IY out is not that farfetched?

Well, they have not been under ideal circumstances. I am sure I'll get the opportunity soon though. I've only been at school for just over a month and an opportunity has presented itself at least once per week.

So what have you been waiting for?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

The right moment, I guess. It will come. I am sure it will.

I saw C today, again. However, today, I was sitting in front of the door at a table just having lunch with my friend. Then I noticed C sit down on the table behind me, opposite another girl... they didn't seem to be talking much though. Almost in my line of vision. Why would she sit right where I could see her? Anyway, I was eating lunch with my friend, so I wasn't going to move just because of that. But since her face was pretty much behind my friend's when I was talking to him, I could see that occasionally she'd look at me. Then I realised, uh-oh, she wants to attend the drop-in session with the higher education advisor through the door, but I'm literally next to it, so it'd be near impossible to do that without me leaving. I realised this, and ate my lunch quickly and left. I'm seeing C a lot more than I had anticipated...

I am just thinking, what happens if I turn around, and my shoulder bumps into C? I remember something like that happening at the supermarket with F. She just stood there staring awkwardly at me, forcing a smile.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I suggest you lower your shoulder and bend slightly at the knees. This will allow you to get your hips and legs into it. That should knock her at least 6 to 8 feet.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Physically she is pretty fragile. Tall but very thin. I think just the shoulder without knee acrobatics would do that.

Surely this awkwardness will stop at some point?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Nope! And that is what makes it so wonderful.

Let me tell you a story of a little boy named a let's see robbym. First a quote:

Mary Shelley wrote:

Am I not shunned and hated by all mankind? ... and triumph; remember that, and tell me why I should pity man more than he pities me? ... I will revenge my injuries; if I cannot inspire love, I will cause fear

This haplesss, good natured kid was picked on by everyone in neighborhood. Why? Because they could. So, he turned vicious and gave them all they deserved and some more for good measure. At 13( kids grew up faster then ) he became interested in a certain Rosemary M.

Now he was the toughest kid in the neighborhood, he was also the brightest. Everyone of his teachers begged his poor parents to further his education. Surely, he would be at least a great scientist.

He only wanted Rosemary. Did she want him? Nope! She wanted all those Mama's boys that were afraid of him. At the end of the school year when they all graduated they had a big party. Guess what, they did not even tell robbym about it. He did not get Rosemary, Ann, Patricia, Francine, Stella or any other female within 50 miles. Hence, the quote.

Now does that story have anything to do with this one? Of course not! I just like telling it.

I don't understand... why would she want the Mama's boys? I thought fear wasn't an attractive trait...
