Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWell, it would be easy if the girls I talked to liked maths, but obviously they don't. So I have to talk about their career ambitions, what A-levels they're studying, what school they went to, things like that. And they ask me the same. Eventually I just run out of things to say, because I do not watch movies, TV, or listen to much music. I watch a lot of tennis but nobody seems to like it. So sometimes I make up stories. But this gets old fast. I know they lose interest when they move to talk to someone else, start playing on their phone, etc... general signs they couldn't give a darn what I'm about to say next. #5127 2012-10-07 08:40:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaMaybe you are picking the wrong girls to talk to. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5128 2012-10-07 08:56:00
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI am doing what I can with the girls I have to work with. It is difficult to talk about myself, because for the most part my life is pretty academic and hardly social. I understand that I may be confusing disinterest with frustration (H was frustrated with me about my conversational skills at one point), but I think the signs I mentioned (playing with phone instead) are most likely signs of disinterest. #5129 2012-10-07 09:01:37
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaLet me ask a question. Why are you talking to any girl? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5130 2012-10-07 09:04:02#5131 2012-10-07 09:09:52
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI mean the real reason you are talking to them at all. Guys have other guys for friends. Why do you talk to them? If you figure that out then you have the answer. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5132 2012-10-07 09:11:55
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI thought the way to get dates with girls was to talk to them, to increase the likelihood of a yes in future. #5133 2012-10-07 09:14:16
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSo you are talking to them for dates? That is true but you can define it a little bit better. Why do you want to date them? To play tennis? To talk about Fourier transforms? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5134 2012-10-07 09:18:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaFor experience. It is the only way to learn. #5135 2012-10-07 09:20:45
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYes experience but what is the goal? What happens when you get the date? What happens if you get 10 dates? What is the real motivation behind dating? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5136 2012-10-07 09:22:36
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaTo learn, to put all the signs I memorised into practice, which will help later on in life. If I get 10 dates then maybe I can go further with one of them. #5137 2012-10-07 09:28:36
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaFurther? What does that mean? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5138 2012-10-07 09:31:13
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaA possible relationship. But as I said it may take several years before I am ready, so maybe dating can help me assess where I am at. #5139 2012-10-07 09:35:36
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaStill we are not getting to the core of the matter. You want a relationship, aren't your guy friends better able to relate to you? They play better tennis, are better at math... In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5140 2012-10-07 09:37:06#5141 2012-10-07 09:38:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaDeeper? More talking? More emails? Deeper at what? Why did you want to date C? Or F? You can talk to me or anyone else on this forum and get all the math you can stand. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5142 2012-10-07 09:42:56#5143 2012-10-07 09:48:51
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThere you go! Correct a mundo! Now you are talking to them to date them so you can get intimate with them. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5144 2012-10-07 19:40:38
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaSo, Anna, F and C did not consider me for intimacy (and probably not IY either)... it would help if I knew the reason. #5145 2012-10-07 23:21:04
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI do not agree. It is possible they all considered you, else they would not talk to you. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5146 2012-10-08 06:25:41#5147 2012-10-08 06:34:04
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYes, but not quickly. They wanted something from you. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5148 2012-10-08 06:36:57#5149 2012-10-08 06:41:40
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaMaybe, it is difficult to say what F and C wanted. But in the future it is important to know that when someone is interested in you they do not want to wait. If you do not ask her out soon, they can become frustrated and even hostile. Certainly, they will move on to someone else. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. 90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics. I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on. #5150 2012-10-08 06:43:30 |
