Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

PJ did poorest in her stats exam interestingly.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Oh boy. Looks like she needs some help. Perhaps from someone close to her age. Someone who lives close by to her.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Nope, she dropped maths. She needs no help anymore.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

She may have dropped it but it has not dropped her. They do use a lot of statistics.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

In her A-level studies they don't use much more than graph plotting and AM. PJ no longer needs probability.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

They run lots of simulations and examine large amounts of data on animals that is numeric in nature. Heck, I dropped plenty of courses that they said I could. Later on at work I found out I shouldn't have.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hmm, I wonder if I could persuade PJ to take some statistics modules, if that is the case. But she may do those in her zoology degree.

I keep wanting to ask F about her lectures and what she is learning about, but I know I should not and I am forcing myself not to.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes, I know. But then, what do I do if I see her? Supposing I literally bumped into her at Cambridge. Do I act like I don't know her? (There is a possibility of this happening when I go for my interview.)

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I think I covered that. If you bump into her, say excuse me.

Seriously, say hello but do not linger around. As a matter of fact say it so quickly she has no time to respond. This will leave her with the feeling that she got cheated. Do not gawk at her. Not even a little bit. Maintain eye to eye contact if you must. Do not let your eyes wander over her. They can detect this easily. The trick is to ignore her, not on purpose but because you do not care.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hmm, I think that should not be too hard to do. Of course, if she is with her friends, I needn't worry because she WILL ignore me, though I will still stare her down if I pass her and see what happens.

Stare her down? What will that accomplish?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I meant, if she glances at me, I will look into her eyes in a near expressionless manner. Not literally gawk at her eyes like a creep though.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Look at her briefly and turn your head to look at something more interesting like a pigeon or a park bench or a desk. Do not be angry and do not be sad. Act as if nothing happened that you can remember. Act disinterested because you are disinterested. I am going to take a little break.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

But I do not think I am disinterested, because I am asking about her and still think about her a little bit. What if by that time I am still not disinterested in her?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

So I need a replacement for F.

I just got e-mailed my final reference draft from my head of year, I can't believe the things he said, he crafted it into the perfect reference. It looks like there was no need to worry after all.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I suppose. But my friends do this sometimes (stop replying after a certain amount of messages) but they are fine in person. In fact, one person who did this to me spent about an hour catching up with me after school at a bus stop. And besides, if it is a spite play, then it most likely means PJ is not interested and I have been wrong again.
