That depends on you. I could take a lot of rejections without being more than superficially hurt. But mind you, every girl who played the "I am busy game" had no interest in me.

Okay... that's what I am thinking too. If she was interested she would have replied to my e-mail, or told me when she was free. This will probably lead to a dead end, so I suppose there isn't any point in trying.

As for the other girl, still not sure if I actually like her. I'm physically attracted to her, that's about it. It's beginning to seem like a waste of time in my mind.

But I've always heard that you can't just be physically attracted to them, or is that a myth? I thought that it usually lead to fast break-ups or something.

No, I suppose what I'm saying is why physical attraction is enough. Why is that reason enough to enter a relationship? Shouldn't you like them for other reasons in addition to physical attraction?

I still don't know if she likes me (the one who is my age) and the older girl is still a bit awkward around me, I think. She at least likes to start a conversation a fair amount but that could just be a red herring. I don't want to ask her out yet because I'm not sure I want to ruin another friendship.

Okay.

Also it's possible that there is another girl who might like me but I really don't like her at all, she is rude, bossy, clingy, needy, arrogant, and I don't find her physically attractive and it seems sometimes when the other girl tries to talk to me she tries to interrupt a bit. It's a bit annoying because she sits in between us in lessons. It was just weird yesterday, the girl (who I don't like, call her Z) was being rude whilst the girl who I'm trying to converse with (call her X) was asking me lots of random questions. Weird.

Let Y denote the girl who rejected me.

X and Z have never met Y (Y keeps to herself and is quite shy). People in general think Z doesn't have a good personality, and I agree with them.

This is confusing me... let:

X = C
Y = F
Z = S

(those are their initials)

I don't think C and S are fighting over me. Some lessons I don't interact with C at all. I wonder if I am friendzoned.

It is when a girl sees you as more of a friend than a romantic interest... I think. I really doubt I would begin to like S, she is not a nice person, she is spiteful and generally disrespectful of people. There is nothing I like about her...

S didn't say anything to me today, just ignored me.

C noticed that I was clean shaven (I usually have a bit of scruff - she was the only person who said about it, I haven't been 100% clean shaven in years) and she asked me when I decided I didn't want to grow a beard.

Saw F in maths today, she walked past me without acknowledging me. I really think she is awkward around me. I wish I'd just get a 'hi' or some kind of response. I also saw her walking around with some other guy after school. I wish I could just forget about her but since I see her every day that is difficult. I'm trying to convince myself that she's not a nice person and that she's not the one for me, and it's had an effect on me since I'm less infatuated with her, but it's not completely gone. For example, when she ignored me after class I just felt annoyed on the way home.

It is very easy to like C because she is very good-looking and she seems to take notice of things that I do. Everyone on my table didn't talk to me that much in the lesson but she noted that I looked a bit unhappy but I told her I wasn't. It's nice not to have to initiate conversation with a girl for one to talk to you for once. Still unsure how she feels about me, because I've been in this situation a couple of times before, only to find out the girl actually though I was unattractive but 'a nice guy'.

I don't know if she is really interested in me. Compared to what some other guys get, this is almost negligible... still not sure if it means anything at all.
