Re: 10 second questions

Hairy thing....estimated average 80,000. Could be anywhere between 60,000 and 80,000. Sometimes even 0 smile
Stars: Between 3,000 and 6,000. depending on visibilty etc.
mathsyperson is correct,  the formula is v+s=e+2,
Well done, mathsyperson!

Re: 10 second questions

45. 745.699872 watts
46. The most common use of exponents in science (hence the first half of the name) and the most important reason to get used to using exponents. In scientific notation numbers are represented as the product of a real number with only a single digit to the left of the decimal and the number 10 raised to an appropriate value. Thus: 602300000000000000000000 = 6.023 x 100000000000000000000000 There are 23 zeros to the left of the decimal in the right-most value. Thus: 100000000000000000000000 = 10^23 and 602300000000000000000000 = 6.023 x 10^23

Re: 10 second questions

Regarding #46, I forgot to put approximately at the end of the question.
The number ought to be known both to mathematicans, and more importantly to scientists.

Re: 10 second questions

Aww. sad

Well, I do know that in the nineteenth century physicists measured the mass of one atom of hydrogen to be about 1/(6.023x10^23) grams.

Is that relevant? smile

Re: 10 second questions

52. Yes, because 7-6+8-6+2-5 = 0, which is divisible by 11 and so 768625 also is.

53. (7-2)/(11-21) = -0.5

Why did the vector cross the road?
