Sn=n/2[2a+(n-1)d].
In #178, a = 1, d=4 and n=100.
Therefore, the sum to 100 terms is 50[398]=19900.

The answer to #182 is d, not -d.
The answer to #181 is 9/4.
The sum of roots of the quadratic equation
ax²+bx+c=0 is -b/a and the product of their roots is c/a.
Alternatively, given the roots, the quadratic equation is
x²-(sum of the roots)x + product of the roots=0.
