Re: How Can They?

They're just expressing their natural opinions of the subject. Not everybody is fond of mathematics.

But if they aren't fond of mathematics, they must not be human, because such a thing isn't possible. Conlusion: They're engineers.

Re: How Can They?

We have ways of dealing with annoyances at MathsIsFun...amazingly, though, I still see some old threads over a year-and-a-half old which, inside them, contain a lot of stupidity and disrespect for other people. But I don't think they have returned...although I think the one-man rebellion some time ago was amazing. Someone kept that up to over 5 pages...talk about free time.

Re: How Can They?

If you've had a maths lesson before, then there's only a small chance that that might happen. But on the whole, that would probably never happen.

Re: How Can They?

I don't think a few negative threads here on mathsisfun.com will change many people's opinion towards mathematics in a bad way. I do, however, think(or hope?:)) that all the helpful posts and useful information on here will make people like mathematics more, or even at all.

For you, yes. For everyone else, no, because it wasn't actually a complete joke.

Re: How Can They?

You can get to it by going to the Dragon of The West and making a wish in the ancient Wishing Well.
