Hey guys, tonight (yes, it's 11pm right now) I decides to share a article with you guys that I had read online. It's about how quantum entanglement could we used in the future as a better way to communicate.

What is Quantum Entanglement?

Quantum entanglement is basically explained as the entanglement of two particles separated at a distance. Einstein called quantum entanglement as spooky action at a distance, because the entanglement of the two particles travel faster than the speed of light.

Why is it considered as a new way to communicate?

I believe that if we manage to harness the power to entangle particles then communication would be made easier no matter where you are (even if you're at the other side of the universe) and not to mention that the entangled particles travels faster than the speed of light!

How it should be used?

NASA is still using radiowave to communicate with most of their satellite, which had limitation. We know that radiowave can't pass through a solid object and that it also takes time to get to earth. In the other hand quantum entanglement travels at the speed of light and it it entangled so it can "pass though" anything. I believe that Quantum entanglement can be used for space exploration in the future.

My brother is an expert, I am not. I read some of Deutsch's work but am not too clear on it now. What I remember is that they build qubits and that the calculations are very, very fast. I lost interest when I learned that it is unlikely to be in your desktop.

The theory at least according to Deutsch is based on what my brother calls the many world theory.

I know them enough to understand quantum mechanics to some extent.

I think you need to know that to understand quantum computing.

I heard the Americans create a quantum computer...

I heard of a 15 qubit one, I am sure they are further ahead than that but a long way off from a useable machine.

A periodic sequence is obviously a sequence where terms are repeating. For example, {1,3,1,3,1,3,1,3}

You don't really have to know about them - any standard quantum computation book will teach you.

You do need linear algebra and some quantum mechanics (therefore requiring classical, lagrangian and hamiltonian mechanics, electricity and magnetism etc).
