Re: The counting frog.

Hi;

I got it wrong too the first couple of times. It seems to be a hard one to program.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: The counting frog.

Hi;

That is a lot of firepower to bring to bear upon that poor little exploding frog.

Hi;

Thanks for the link and I am going to eat that frog now. See you later.

Re: The counting frog.

Agnishom was the first to get it right. gAr was the second and the first person to see the connection between the frog and Josephus. The third solution was given by ShivamS.

So, will you please post the video of an exploding frog?

Re: The counting frog.

Hi,

I think I've got it now:

All it needed was to change a single "1" to a single "0". I used a simulation in an Excel spreadsheet and this oversight is just one of several things I wasn't alert enough to from the very beginning. sad

The spreadsheet solution only comprised many tens of thousands of cells, btw, and so the problem wasn't too difficult to spot. wink

Did the frog conjure up the rocket?

Hi phrontister;

Hi Agnishom;

Nope, the rocket is real. It is the frog that is no longer real.

Re: The counting frog.

I still like the delicious option better.

I hate biologist 3's idea though.
