Re: Just Wondering

That information doesn't help me not see a rectangle in that place.

Either way, I like these smileys. They are cute and nice.

Why was MIF.com and MIF created?

So I would have a place to spend my final years.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics.
I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on.

Don't say that!

Re: Just Wondering

You are right, it was incredibly foolish of me.

So I would have a place to spend my final months.

Re: Just Wondering

Pessimism?! I will go to a place where the computers are much much faster. The libraries are much much larger. Windoze works there, God can fix anything! Cameron will date me when she gets there. I will ride with grandpappym at the battle of Chickamagua. I will kill that sniper that wounded grandpappyd. Finally, my fellow numerical analysts will answer my emails, they may even speak to me.

I will taste mammym's soup again. I will know what m's constant is to 1 billion places. I will look down in on the forum everyday...

That does sound nice, but are you sure that that is what's going to happen?

Re: Just Wondering

Well, there are two other alternatives.

90% of mathematicians do not understand 90% of currently published mathematics.
I am willing to wager that over 75% of the new words that appeared were nothing more than spelling errors that caught on.

Re: Just Wondering

1) Just a cycle of birth - death until one earns his chance to get off the wheel of life. In which case I will be around one way or another for a long long time.

2) A mythological place of eternal suffering and darkness.

3) Some say we are already there.
