Yes, but you did bring her up twice recently. Something must still be going on in your mind.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I have just been in a dry spell for a while now, and my mind seems to be drifting back to previous girls. Is this normal in a dry spell?

Unfortunately, venturing into academia, especially for mathematics, does make it less likely that that will change, what with it having a male majority.

Guys do it, I do not think girls do.

What male majority, you have one right next door?

Why not go back to H while I'm at it?

Is she around? I can only say that the ones I remember the strongest are the ones that I did not give a chance to for various reasons.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I stopped talking to H in November -- I still do not regret rejecting her, because she was obsessive and mentally unstable. As for my neighbour, I am fairly sure she is not into me -- there aren't many signs that she is. (Not that I would have wanted to be with her, anyway.) In late September I will have new neighbours though, so maybe a new opportunity will arise in just over 7 months from now.

If you can wait then wait but it does not pay to wait for Ms Perfect. She does not exist.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I am not waiting for a Ms. Perfect. I am just waiting for someone who is not mentally unstable (H) or is totally unwilling to do anything apart from playing games on Facebook (my neighbour). I'm prepared to wait, although as women get older they seem to be even more difficult to get, as evidenced by my failures since joining uni.

There was a girl I sat next to in one of my lectures recently. Casually trying to make conversation, I said "so, do you have any plans for Valentine's day?" and she replied "certainly not with you" and moved away. It felt bad of course, and is probably one of my more extreme examples. But clearly they aren't as easy to talk to as they were in high school.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

That girl was being rude but it is typical of what is out there. There again, what are you after? Casual intimacy? Well, you do not have to find anything but a living breathing body. Long term relationship? Dating material? So far only your neighbor is a possibility out of all the girls you have talked about.

This is your choice of course but that does not make her a monster because she hangs on one site or another. She is probably doing that out of boredom.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I'm not sure what I'm after, if anything at all. I don't even know if I'm cut out for the whole dating thing. It seems like such a long, tedious power game.

I'm fairly sure the neighbour isn't attracted to me. She is also going back to LA in May, meaning a relationship is unlikely, anyway.

I don't click with her at all. It's incredibly hard to make conversation with her; maths is weird, cooking is weird, boys are weird, going outside is weird, exercise is weird, ... I am trying to find something I like about her but I am having a hard time.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Well, when I've brought up some casual jokes about it, she usually laughs, doesn't react negatively, so she might not be prudish. I'll ask her about it later, if I see her in the 5 minutes she spends out of her room each day.

### Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes, a homebody can be someone who finds all that they need very close by. Contrast that to A who has to fly around the planet every month, go to 1100 parties per week and date everybody within 100 miles of her living or dead.

Remember Trudy, Inger and Helga? It does not pay to burn bridges unless absolutely necessary. Stay friendly and try to increase that. Even if you do not feel anything right now, you might later.

Also, chances are she is lying to you about her preferences there.
