Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I do not even know what it is. You will have to describe it.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

You have never heard of it?! It is apparently the most common way of cooking rice in Italy, for which they use Arborio or Carnaroli rice.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Hi;

There is a big difference between an American of Italian descent born in Brooklyn and a native Italian. My parents insisted that their children become Americans quickly so they did not teach us anything about our original land.

To show you how dumb I am about Italy I do not even know what Arborio or Carnaroli rice is!

I have looked it up and this recipe for Risotto which I would call fancy boiled white rice is way out of my budget.

http://www.finecooking.com/recipes/basic-risotto.aspx

Take for instance those mushrooms she mentions, they are a rare delicacy over here.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Porcini mushrooms are expensive and rare over here too, unless you go to a market or something to buy them. I made a simple risotto the other day, it tasted okay -- froze some to have another day.

Is it really that common for American women to not be able to cook or eat healthily? The American girl I live next to eats almost the same thing every day. Something frozen or in a packet that she can microwave forever. I asked her if she ever eats salad and she said no -- she hates salad. I don't understand it...

Speaking of that, there is no modern gal that I have known till now

It may not be like that everywhere. He did say American gal.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Yes, she is American, from LA. It would be understandable if she were a first year student, still a bit apprehensive when it comes to cooking. But she is halfway through her third year -- she has not even attempted to cook anything. How can you survive on just pizza and other fast food?

When you are young you can eat almost anything without harm. Later on, you begin to pay for that.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Was the title for this thread modified?

Okay, that is the proof.

How is everything going?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

It is going okay. A little bit stressful but I'll get through it. Girl-wise, not a lot to hope for. How are things on your end?

About the same. Lots of work to catch up on.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I hate when that happens -- it can become an endless cycle of catching up on work if the rate at which you catch up is not fast enough.

I have been skipping a few lectures recently and instead just looking at the lecture notes they put online -- I feel as if I can learn better on my own, at my own pace that way. I do not know if it is a good thing, though.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

No, they don't mind. But there are some lectures you have to go to, to hand in homework. Since the class sizes are so large (150-200) it is difficult for them to spot who does not attend.

Yes, I go to uni at least once a day -- especially when I have to do shopping.

Do you think I should forget about my "plans" with Adriana?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I asked her if she'd like to come around to my place sometime. She said she might be able to if she's ever in London, but most likely is around Easter, April-ish. But she stopped replying to my e-mails at the start of 2014, and I don't know if I'd be comfortable having her over anymore (mostly because she told me about how she is sleeping with her neighbour a lot at Warwick).

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

So the little lady is now having relations with her neighbor? So she put you on hold until her first available opening which is sometime in April? It is a cute girls world as they say.

You already know my opinion of her. I still like the fast food queen right next door.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

But she is incredibly annoying. In fact, she almost set off the fire alarm yesterday and smoked out the kitchen thanks to her constant oven-food.
