Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOkay, I will ask her when I am alone with her next time. #12902 20140116 13:26:52
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYecch to eggs! In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12903 20140116 13:31:05
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI didn't think to offer her it unfortunately. She came in the kitchen today with the empty sandwich box. I made something very simple chicken breasts wrapped in parma ham and cheese, with salmon tikka. If I find out what kind of food she likes, I can make that for her. But unfortunately she doesn't seem to know what she likes! #12904 20140116 13:32:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThey never do. Next time offer her some. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12905 20140116 13:36:17
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaDo you think it would be a bad idea to suggest to her that she could regularly eat with me for dinner? #12906 20140116 13:40:30
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou could do that but it might be better to suggest that after a few times. Also, you are now putting yourself in the position of being "Food Guy!" You know what that means. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12907 20140116 13:42:00#12908 20140116 13:44:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWell, Food Guy and Homework Guy are both providing a useful and necessary service. She will realize this. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12909 20140126 01:45:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI got into her room about 9 days ago, but I just sat on her bed while she played games on her computer. Was a bit boring, to be honest. I'm not really that into her... #12910 20140126 01:46:58
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHmmm, then you should leave her be. But you will have to stick with that decision and never change it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12911 20140126 22:38:17
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHmm, okay, I will try. #12912 20140127 00:26:14
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaPerfectly okay to that but there is just one drawback. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12913 20140127 12:12:58#12914 20140127 19:45:59
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou are going to be very lonely with a girl 5 feet away from you! In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12915 20140127 21:16:08#12916 20140127 22:08:42
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIsn't this like just throwing away a golden opportunity? It really does not get any easier. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12917 20140128 02:32:33
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaBut I don't even like her, I find her kind of irritating actually. #12918 20140128 03:02:16
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI remember you did make some comments that seemed to indicate you did. What changed your mind? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12919 20140128 05:19:52
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI don't know, she just seems so awkward, kind of like H except not as freaky as her. There is no point asking about her day, because she will always say that she 'did nothing', seems to have no interests outside of playing games on Facebook, and is pretty awkward to talk to. In fact, whenever there is an awkward silence, she would actually say "haha! Awkward silence!". #12920 20140128 07:14:05
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is an attempt to break the awkward silence! She is there at the university so she must have some interests other than facebook. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12921 20140128 12:28:59
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaShe loves psychology but hates maths. I think she likes watching some American TV dramas and playing Facebook games, can't think of anything else. #12922 20140128 21:46:02
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIf you cut her off cold turkey then there is likely to be some hurt or confusion generated. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12923 20140129 11:44:08
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI still talk to her as I do normally, there is just no intention of taking anything further. I am not even sure if she is after me. #12924 20140129 14:59:07
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaOkay, you must do what you think is right for you. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #12925 20140129 23:01:27
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI will try...
