She might be messy, in that case it will be difficult to get in.

See you later, have some chores to do.

Could be. She bought us a roll of toilet paper and handwash for the bathroom though, which was nice of her.

Okay, see you later.

Lots of them literally starve themselves to stay thin too.

That is a horrible thought...

Did you say she was from the US?

Yes, she is from LA, California. The weather is a bit of a surprise to her!

Cold and rainy there?

In London? Heck, 'cold and rainy' is pretty typical any day of the year...

I'm starting to think that she likes me. Normally she just comes into the kitchen and walks out again when there are other people around, but today she literally just sat down talking to me and watching me make falafel for about 3 hours. She came and sat right next to me too. Finally got her name too -- although I can't spell it for the life of me.

Very good. Continue to share things with her and it will all fall into place.

Unfortunately I have exams until the end of this week... but the great thing is that she lives right next to me, so literally an opportunity almost every day.

Remember not to delay. Other guys have set their sights on her too.

True. There are 3 other guys, and 1 more who comes around sometimes. 1 of them has a GF though.

The GF will not stop him from what he thinks is an easy victory. They are all opponents and must be dealt with.

And of course, there is still the significant possibility that she does not like me in that way.

I do not think they can really distinguish one type of "like" from another as we do. Under the right conditions they are all possible. Just do not take to long to get your point across.

On Friday I'm going to see if I can manage to watch a movie with her late in the evening in her room. In some ways she reminds me of H but without the incessant e-mailing and the robotic way of talking.

That is a good idea. What movie?

No idea. But the good thing is that the moment I figure it out I can head over there -- she's always in her room, which is literally 1 metre away from me. Heck, we could have a conversation through the walls given that they are so thin (but that can be a bit annoying sometimes).

What type do you think she would like?

I'm not sure, I guess I could ask her. I know she likes American dramas, Sherlock, that kind of thing. I hear her watching them sometimes through the wall.

Sherlock Holmes? The old version with Basil Rathbone or Jeremy Brett?

Apparently there is a new series drama called Sherlock -- kind of like how there was a movie about it not too long ago starring Robert Downey Jr.

Yes, I remember the movie with him in it. Maybe you can watch it with her?

Hmm, that is a good idea. But she has probably already seen it, since she goes to the theatre a lot.

That is why I always recommend getting them to talk about themselves by asking questions. It always works because they love talking about their favorite subject, themselves! After a while of that you find out all their likes and dislikes and you can go on from there.

Next time you are with her find out her tastes in movies, tv and music. You already know something about her eating habits.
