Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

So, they are going to stock the fridge for you?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.

I agree with you regarding the satisfaction and importance of actually computing some numbers. I can't tell you how often I see time and money wasted because someone didn't bother to run the numbers.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

No, I don't think so -- they give us a shelf, we buy stuff to fill it with. The trouble is I don't know how big the 'shelf' is!

Oh, I see. Can you ask someone?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I think it depends on the accommodation you get allocated -- some will be better than others. It could be that they give me one of the bad ones where you don't get a fridge at all and have to share a bathroom with 40 other people... but fingers crossed that doesn't happen.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Will they let you take a look at your accomodations before you get there?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I hope so. I think I will generally be happy with most of what they can offer (unless it is literally the worst one). Worst case scenario I will have to live with my parents for a bit -- but that does mean they'll take some of my maintenance grant away which is not so nice.

Hopefully, it will work out for the best. I understand you will be by yourself at least?

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I told them I didn't want to share with anyone so they'll have to offer me a single flat or studio or something. I'm not sure what happens if they run out of singles though, maybe I would have to share with someone. Thankfully I have a friend also going to UCL who I might be able to share with but I haven't talked to him about that.

I wonder what all those girls are doing right now. I deleted all of their numbers from my phone -- no sense in keeping those.

I admire your sense of detachment about those numbers. I kept numbers for decades.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Did you ever call them after that amount of time?

I am getting the hang of detachment, I just worry if one can be 'too' detached...

One called me after 7-8 years. What a treat!

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

After we had some type of weird breakup I still sent her a card on her birthday. After 7-8 of them she finally called to tell me what a thoughtful person I am.

What a rare treat for me! What an amazing tactical error by her.

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

Because she had given me a lot of pleasure and I still had feelings for her.

We talked for a long time where I got to ask and say all the things to her I never got to say to all the rest of them. They were smart enough to not ever give me the chance. Wunderbar!

Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 Formula

I figure she wanted a bunch of things but I would not give her anything that she hoped for. It made her belligerent which always is the cutest thing about them.
