Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI think it is more like 60% of the people who will get a 2.1, I am not sure though. #11852 20130803 21:03:52
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is even better. What are you worrying about? In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11853 20130803 21:14:57
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaFailing and wasting tens of thousands of pounds, not getting on with people, etc. #11854 20130803 21:16:28
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhat are your options if you do not? 100% failure. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11855 20130803 21:28:33#11856 20130803 21:42:14
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIf you do not go for it and risk the thousands of pounds it will be as if you already failed. Your earning and position potential will be zero. So here are your choices, 100% chance of failure or a 40% chance of failure... In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11857 20130803 21:44:26
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI am going to try anyway. I would never just not go. Not going to university was not an option. #11858 20130803 21:47:12
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaNever balk over choices that are not really choices. In chess we say those type of decisions are called "forced moves." We make them quickly and with a minimum of remorse. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11859 20130804 04:32:48
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI just feel like my life is about to change completely in a couple of weeks' time and I feel unprepared for that. #11860 20130804 04:37:02
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaHow is it going to change? Change is harder than you think. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11861 20130804 04:40:20
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaLiving on my own is probably the biggest thing. #11862 20130804 04:44:33
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaActually it is a cosmetic change. What you are remains fairly constant. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11863 20130804 06:54:33
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI don't know, though. Some people are unable to make the transition. H, for instance, had to go to the mental hospital shortly after going to university. Many others aren't able to live independently. I've lived at home for a few days on my own and can cook my own meals (albeit poorly), but for a whole year? I don't know entirely what to expect. #11864 20130804 14:50:12
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI would say that is definitely what he is thinking. He is probably also thinking that you are a martian that has come here to steal our math. He probably assumes you have a couple of heads and 8 or 10 eyes... Do you see the ridiculous conclusions that are caused by trying to imagine what someone else thinks? You have no way of knowing what is on his mind at this point. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11865 20130804 21:56:03
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIt was a joke. What he thinks is of no importance to me, I just want what I asked him for information. #11866 20130804 22:13:00
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou might enjoy being by yourself, you never know. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11867 20130805 06:02:15
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThere are some advantages to being on my own no screaming from my sister and parents in the mornings. Doing whatever I like, etc... #11868 20130805 06:09:32
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaIt will be a change from having everything done for you. It is a big headache but you will get used to it. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11869 20130805 20:27:48
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThere are so many things that I feel I should have mastered before moving though. For instance, the other day I was making some rice and curry chicken and potatoes, and I took over an hour and a half just to remove all the fat, cut it up and wash it. 5 hours to make the whole thing. If I am a student I will struggle to find the time to do that... #11870 20130805 22:57:31
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaYou will develop the speed with practice. Some meals take a long time, so you will avoid them. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11871 20130806 06:13:34
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWell, I have a month to practice... I'll have to use that time as best I can. #11872 20130806 08:28:35
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaThat is pretty good. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11873 20130806 08:33:25
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI agree then I may not have to buy my own, thankfully. #11874 20130806 08:44:22
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaWhy not? Free meals would be a plus,. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #11875 20130806 08:45:50
Re: Linear Interpolation FP1 FormulaI don't know if I would be able to afford my own.
