Equilateral? Same scale for all three sides? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #5 20110518 21:18:40

Re: Graph Paper Makerhi MathsIsFun,
Well that's what is in my head; but being able to move one set of parallels to a different angle would be handy.
For me, no scale at all, just the grid. I was thinking of diagrams like isometric drawings and tesselations. You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #7 20110519 08:08:45
Re: Graph Paper Maker
I was afraid someone would ask about this. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #8 20110519 08:34:44
Re: Graph Paper MakerHi MIF;
Then I am not going to ask about log log scales. In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them. I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it. All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof. #9 20110519 12:32:47

Thank you. That is very kind of you. You cannot teach a man anything; you can only help him find it within himself..........Galileo Galilei #11 20110520 09:48:14
Re: Graph Paper MakerNew version! Now has log scales ... have I chosen good names? "x log", "y log", "log log" ? "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #12 20110520 12:59:35

Re: Graph Paper MakerWow! I learn something everyday. The latest is the nine line groupings in the log/log grid. Wow, I guess I never counted them before, would have guessed 10, but nope, nine. No zero. igloo myrtilles fourmis #22 20110522 08:41:25

Doh!
Unfortunately not easy ... would need to rewrite a lot of code ... but I will have a look soon. "The physicists defer only to mathematicians, and the mathematicians defer only to God ..." Leon M. Lederman #23 20110522 18:12:13
