Hi again,
I saw this question somewhere, but I forget, and I have no idea what to do to solve it:
Tap A takes X minutes to fill a bath, Tap B takes Y minutes to fill the same bath. How long would it take to fill the bath with both taps on (in terms of X and Y)?
I don't care about the answer but just how you figure it out.
It seems like a simple problem but I can't do it:\
Thanks
Oh yay!
Oh sorry, my eyes deceive me, I need new glasses :\
Thanks again
Are we suppose to answer these in 10 seconds
I hardly can do it in 5 minutes with paper
Sorry gnitsuk, I didn't understand that :\
I'm only in year 9...
But your answer and bobbym's answer don't agree...
So I checked it and bobbym's answer is right.
Thank's for your explanation gnitsuk and your answer bobbym!
I got another question at school which was to do the same but with the digits 9,8,7,6, and 5 and I was part of the few that got it right
875 x 96
:3
I don't work very well with percentages but I hope this is right :]
Oh yay, I managed to do this using algebra
Hi,
I found this site in my history and decided to check back on it
and I tried making an account but the email was in use!
And I remembered asking a question like a year ago.
Well, I'll be here trying to improve my math skills :3
I hope this is right :s
Hi guys,
I got a problem at school and I have an answer but I'm not so confident about it :\
Anyways, any help is appreciated and I'ld be very thankful
Problem:
The digits from 1 to 9 are used once each to make two numbers like 12345 and 6789 for example.
Write the numbers that when multiplied together will give you the largest possible answer.
Thanks again!
My answer was 97531 and 8642
It could be right but I don't know
Explanations and reasons would be helpful to
Thanks again
7904
7+9+0+4=20 which is almost 13 * 1.5 muahahha bobbym
omg thank you very much!
so is x1 and y1 the point?
Thank you bobbym this will be much appriciated
o.o i gotta tell my maths teacher that!
But if it is possible for a tangent to go on a point, is there like a formula to figure that out, or do i have to guess and check?
Okay but if its a function like y=x^2 something like that but not like functions with gaps or multiple values, if u know w hat i mean
Hey guys,
is there a formula to figuring out tangents of let say f(x) if only a point of the tangent (a, b), (not on f(x)) is given?
Thanks a bunch guys
Is 1928, sinθ = (√3)/2
I am not that good at trigonometry
I love algebra!!!
Maybe some basic arithmetic can help you in Algebra!?!
Okay thanks!
Your welcome!
Woah that is cool!!
I would love you if you created a function grapher, you know, graphing y=x y=e^x .....
I'm learning limits so this should come in handy = ]
