If I'm not mistaken that's from a thread in which noemi suggests that you should be my best man.

Here's a program that writes out most of the lyrics of an older popular song:

Do[Print["Na"], {56}]

That should be "This is my kingdom, come", I'd say.

Ah, okay then. I wasn't sure which definition to hold true. Thanks for the clarification.

Hi gAr

Shouldn't the positions be numbered 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,0,1,2,…?

the incident matrix has exactly two ones and 6 zeros in each column.

Why is that?

#1082 Re: Help Me ! » Urgent -Discrete Math problems (Graph) » 2014-04-03 05:48:56

Yes, but we can start by noting that the graph conatins exactly 8 edges.

Hi bobbym

I made the mistake in taking the Binomial[4,3] to be 3 when doing it by hand.

#1087 Re: Help Me ! » Probability Problem » 2014-04-02 08:59:07

Hi

I am actually getting 7/81 for a)i), bobbym. Are you sure you are counting only the cases with 3 and 4 correct answers?

As opposed to a multigraph, a simple graph is an undirected graph that has no loops (edges connected at both ends to the same vertex) and no more than one edge between any two different vertices.

Also, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matrix_similarity.

The only thing I am able to think up about this problem is that the graph has to have exactly 8 edges.

I'd say both are true, it just depends on what you take as your variable.

The inverse of

The inverse of

Haven't checked the answers on previous pages yet, but I have come up with some sort of

#1091 Re: Help Me ! » Surds » 2014-03-29 09:15:14

Sure, I don't think Lagrange is able to complain.

#1092 Re: Help Me ! » Surds » 2014-03-29 08:14:24

That's the one I would use here. The formula was found by Lagrange, though, not me.

#1093 Re: Help Me ! » Intersections of sets of primes » 2014-03-18 12:23:16

Hi caters

Think about it - for every integer, there is a corresponding double. This is an intuitive way of thinking about sizes of infinite sets, but this logic is also used to define the formal way of comparing set sizes.

#1094 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » PSY versus julianthemath » 2014-03-11 22:54:48

It is the most watched video on youtube so far. But PSY is still not able to calculate the square root of 1000000000.

I'm pretty sure he meant 4/5 and 1/2, but, we can wait.
