oh ok this is easy it is x=6.437876 which im gonna round to x=6.43
huh the sine of 40.. ok you want me to write the full thing ok here it comes 0.64278760968653932632264340990726 well if this is what you wanted and i dont actually round when i did the x10 i just said it short because i dont want to take up much space
so i know the sin of 40 is 0.64 so i would do 0.64x10 and got 6.42 right?
oh woops heh heh oh woops i got lazy and woops the answer is 4 i accidentaly did the dividing first than the minusing *slaps self* so actually x would equal 4 heh heh
so im gonna cancel the 2 by dividing bye 2 and that cancels out the 2 then i do minus 1 from the 1 and that cancels it out then i do that to the other side 9/2 which equals 4.5 then i minus 1 and get 3.5 so x= 3.5
yep we are just finished the section with multiplying and dividing fractions. But i do know some advanced stuff that average 6th graders dont know
ok got that so how do you solve it?
huh i didnt get the "opposite side to the angle" thing
for me it means that the sin equals the opposite divided by the hypotenuse
plz pretty plz how about you do tell me the answer and explain how you got it plzzzzz
ok oh so your the thing your trying to find is the second letter?ok sorry about that so now im trying to find the opposite umm let me see. ok im just gonna do some random stuff and see if it works i probably will get it wrong. So i did 10/40 then i clicked sin-¹ and i got 14.47 so im just guessing opposite is 14.47 length tell me how to do it if im wrong i dont really care if you tell me the answer.
ok thanks for the tip bob bundy ok so now on to the question. im gonna use cah for this one because im trying to find the opposite ok but first i need to find what length the adjacent side is so i do (on the calculator) cos(40)*10 and got 7.66. so the adjacent side must be 7.66 cm. now to find the opposites length. because im using cah im gonna do 7.66/10 then click cos-¹ oh wait then i go back to 40 XD let me correct myself oh wait uhhh now im stuck but i think that the opposite is 7.66 why do i forget things so easily
(undeveloped brain?, too much info is stored in it in such a young age?)
hello? plz tell me if im right
and just wondering. so you use the tan-¹, or the cos-¹, or the sin-¹ when your trying to find the angle of something? right?
sooo im gonna do your problem bob bundy but i dont get what the 3 significant figures is .. first i did 1.9/3.2 and i got 0.59 then i clicked the tan -¹ because i only know the adjacent and the opposite.. and i got with the tan -¹ 30.54 soo the angle x is equal to 30.54°. Right? correct me if im wrong.
ook im using i think toa because i dont really know and maybe my thing for finding the hypotenuse isnt really a formula maybe i made a mistake or im not even sure it is a formula because im not that good with geometery but thanks bundy for the H=Adj/cos(angle) and i think bundy has answered the question not me well just another failed assingement in life
ook
umm is it 123.33 ?
the plank is 125.34 units long
because the opposite side of the right triangle is 75.56 unit high and the ladder is 80 units high right?
yep you wouldnt waste your time taking the ladder out
kk so i got the question right?
oh so you use tan when you only know one length and one angle and the length is not the hypotenuse and sin and cos when you know the hypotonuse right. correct me if im wrong
noo wait the opposite side is 75.56 unit and then 10,000+5709.31=125.34 soo the length between me and the cat is 125.34 unit and the cat from the ground is 75.56 ya
sooo the ajacent side measures 100 soo and the angle is 37 hmm so the opposite side length is 60.18 right and to find the hypotanuse i use the pythagian therom and soo 100²+37² = c² which is also 10,000+1369=11369² so the answer from me to the cat is 106.62 unit and the ground from the cat is 60.18 unit right?
why would it be tan? not sin or cos
