One last thing to tell you.
Do not desire, as it leads to suffering. Your desire will never be fulfilled, do not be ignorant.
Nothing is permanent in this world, neither am I. For now I understand.

Our soul? Buddha does not believe in a soul. When we die, our karma will effect another thing (which is not us - in terms of me) being born. It's like a almost being burned up candle lighting a new candle before it is completed used up.

Well, it's still considered a soul. Like atman. Just not what the Christian think of a soul as.

Buddha is eternal. Sentiment beings (us) are not. Yes.

No, if you have desire you will be reborn again and again. To reach Nirvana, one must not have desire.

I am partially awake.

We are born in this world because of desire. With desire brings suffering. Since the day we're born in our mothers' womb (do you think it is comfortable in there??), we grow and the womb is small and we are cramped inside until we born and we cry. We cry when we're born because of the pain. Then we became helpless until we can support ourselves (I mean babies can't eat, walk, and do about anything on their own right?). In our youth most will forget life is a suffering, but then we age we get old and get sick and die. When we die we're afraid we hold on to material stuffs. We have the desire to hold on to the material world. When we die we fear to lose our loved ones and the things like money. This cause us to be rebirth again due to desire and desire leads to suffering.

I now want to train and mediate to not attache with anything and to not have desire of anything and never be reborn in this world again.

#472 Re: This is Cool » Teach Agnishom » 2014-12-30 05:32:40

I want to be awaken. How?

#473 Re: This is Cool » Teach Agnishom » 2014-12-30 05:22:39

The monk told me in mandarin that : Your father wants to talk with you and share something with you. I replied : Who is my father? She replied : Clearly you are not awaken, you will know when you wake up. Is my father Jesus?

#474 Re: This is Cool » Teach Agnishom » 2014-12-30 05:17:02

So, how do you feel about that mantra? Question : who is my father?
