Thanks much! I have one of a word problems that i have worked too death, without success, if i can find it in all my papers.
-[5z - (11z + 1)] = 1 + (5z +2)
Do you do this in your head or have to write it down?
Thank you. I have been working on a math project. Now, I am going to try and finish my homework. It's nice to be back.
Another long equation:
-7m + 64 - 8 (m - 6) = 9m - (6m - 5) - 4m + 9
![]()
Solve and check the following equation. What is the solution set?
-(7 - 6a) - (20 + 5a) - 1 = - (7 - 5a) + ( - a ) + 6
Thank you~
there are four sections of this stuff, word problems included. I have twenty to go in the section you are helping me with.
Hey, I will give you a break. How's that?
I am going to sleep now. I hope you have a good night. I am sorry.
the one i skipped over to now has 55 problems
2 to the power of -1 divided by 3 to the power of -2.
Says ERR/SYNTAX Quit/goto etc. I tried another one
i tried and it gave me an error display.
Oh ok. I hope your brain is not tired, many problems i have. I think the ones in charge are giving out too much homework, especially when we are all tired and burned out--with two more weeks to go.
(1/8) to the power of ^-3 = _____
so what are you doing?
well, looks like I have a lot of math to contend with.
ok, get something to eat and I will be here. Don't have school tomorrow or Friday either, plus Sat. and Sun. ![]()
A minor league baseball team plays 85 games in a season. If the team won 13 more than twice as many games as they lost, how many wins and losses die the team have?
I agree and others will learn as well.
This is confusing.
a. The projected enrollment for Fall 2012 is ___thousand.
That goes with the last problem.
The linear model below gives the approximate enrollment, in thousands, for degree-granting institutions in a certain city from the year 2003, where x = 0 corresponds to 2003, x = 1 to 2004 and so on.
y = 0.2188x + 15.43
a. what is the projected enrollment for Fall 2012?
b. In what year is the enrollment projected to reach 18 thousand?
Ouch, that was a long word problem.
I know how he feels. Statistics is difficult, but can be used with a calculator sometimes. I don't think there are calculators for Algebra and next week after I finish this, I have a week of Geometry. I have never had geometry in my life.
Solve A = 2BD + 2BC + 2DC for C.
C =____
May I ask who "he" you are referring to?
If 7 is added to twice a number and this sum is multiplied by 4, the result is the same as if the number is multiplied by 5 and 10 is added to the product. What is the number?
I hope everything will be okay.
If 5 is added to a number and the sum is tripled, the result is 19 more than the number. What is the number? I guess you would say 3 x 5 and just add the 19?
You are quiet today. Are you all right?
Translate the verbal phrase into a mathematical expression.
The ratio of 33 and a non zero number, b
The mathematical expression is____
Thank you! Here's a different one.
Solve for n.
F = 9/2 (n-10)
The solution set is n = ____F + ____.
Those lines are empty boxes.
0.30(6) + 0.05x=0.15(6+x).
I am sorry. It looks like i left out a zero.
Solution set is asked for.
It says solve the equation:
and after the problem,
The solution set is { }
Oh, would it make any difference if it says: "The solution set is:"
Is that why it won't take?
Don't know why but the answer is wrong. I wonder what happened.
Let's look at it.
0.30 (6) + 0.05 =0.15 (6+x)
