I have been stumped on this problem, if anyone could help that would be great!

Suppose that three random variables X1, X2, X3 form a random sample from a distribution for which the mean is 5. Determine the value of E(2X1-3X2+X3-4)

Thanks

Suppose that two random variables X1 and X2 have a continuous joint distribution for which the joint p.d.f. is as follows:

f(x1,x2) = x1 + x2 for 0 < x1 < 1 and 0 < x2 < 1,
(and 0 otherwise)

Find the p.d.f. of Y = X1 * X2

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
