I need help,

I have a vector question here that involves proofs, I am unsure how exactly to approach this. At the bottom I've tried to start, but cannot arrive at a clearer statement.

I'm doing a mathematical investigation of juggling for my extended essay, here's a graph of some of the displacement data I collected.

Does anybody what the shape of this graph is called?

Or how it could be represented mathematically?

Perhaps using a polar equation?
