okay, thank you. I'm submitting the lesson hopefully I get 20/20 !

#2 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-06 11:10:37

so if I simplify, it would be 112.82 m^2?

I guess the grey area is the shaded region.

#4 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-06 10:37:51

it looks tough because you have to figure out the shaded region.

#5 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-06 10:17:57

okay, thank you!

now question 20 is hard, I never understand and remember how to do it
sad

well that's what my teacher put in the question, so I didn't write the whole number.

so:
cos(65) = x/12
.42=x/12?

#12 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-06 09:42:11

oh okay. no I don't know hot to get cos(65)

#14 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-06 09:29:58

cos(65 degrees) = x/12
cos(780)=x

#15 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-06 07:11:55

a little. we did one lesson on it.
sin = opp./hyp.
cos = adj./hyp.
tan = opp./adj.

What do you mean? I don't understand what formula I would be using to get the answer.

18. In the diagram shown, a 12-foot slide is attached to a swing set. The slide makes a 65 degree angle with the swing set. What is the height of the top of the slide (as close as you can get)?

sin 65 degree = 0.91
cos 65 degree = o.42
tan 65 degree = 2.14

What is the length of the line segment with endpoints (-8,6) and (-10,-1)?
Okay, thank you, enjoy your day.

#19 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-05 08:42:02

yes, sorry I didn't notice that.
for 15 I'm not sure what formula I should use.

#22 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-05 08:32:52

okay, so my answer for 14 is wrong?

#23 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-05 08:28:11

Yes the hexagon in the middle.

#24 Re: Help Me ! » Geometry review. » 2016-06-05 08:17:43

would 13 be:
(n-2)180
(6-2)180
(4)180
720

would 14 be:
720/6
