Ok, if you had to change 4x+11=6x-3 into a linear inequality how would you do it, and how would you solve it?

Good morning bobbym. Would i solve it like this
4x + 11 < 6x - 3
4x - 6x + 11 < - 6x - 6x - 3
2x + 11 -11 < -3 - 11
2x < - 8
-2x/-2 < -8/-2 = x < 4
and check it
4(4) + 11 < 6(4) - 3
16 + 11 < 24 - 3
27 < 27

So i would solve the linear inequality problem the same way i solve the linear equation, but replace the equal sign with < or >

Hi guy's it's me again. How do i turn this linear equation 4x+11=6x-3 into an linear inequality? Would i write it like 4x<+11=6x<-2, and the lesser sign is underlined?
