Hi big_smile, I'm Franco, I peek this forum occasionally! It's awesome to check all the things I don't know roflol
Anyway! I'm a computer science student, so I usually do maths, actually I'm reading "Discrete Mathematics and its Applications".

First of all, I was looking for proofs for this:


I check it by induction, but I see on other topic of the forum this one:

I didn't get it from the 3rd to 4th line.
In the right side use distribution, but on the left dunno
Can anybody 'expand it' for me?
