Word of warning about the CAS exams. The CAS has, over the last 3 years been trying to change the approach to their upper level exams. The seem to have been having a hard time getting it right as evidenced by the large volatility in the pass rates over the last 3 years and a pass rate that was the lowest in 20 years for this last fall sitting.

You probably want to take these historical travel time averages with a grain of salt. When 3/4 to 1/2 as many students are passing as they did in the past on exams and on exams that are administered only once a year at that, you are likely going to get a lengthening of that average travel time.

The SOA seems to have better calibrated their upper levels exams and modules than the CAS has at least thus far.

Old people are usually awesome as hell to talk to. Theres this woman that Id see in restaurants in town. When shed come in all the workers would come out and greet her and set up a special table for her. I went in with my dad one night and told him "That woman must be with the mob or something, she gets a lot of special treatment". A year or so later I saw her in the local paper when she turned 104 years old.   She looked to be in her 70s. She remembers the first car to roll through downtown Caro. Oh, and that article in the paper about her when she turned 104? Yeah, that was 5 years ago, shes 109 now. Id stll have 69 more years of life left if I make it that long since I was born a man. A man living to 114 is almost unheard of.

We took these types of equation and how to solve them in Secondary level in School.

But I dont remember exactly how we continued with it.

Just what I remembered:
1- You have to try some numbers to place them in "x" to get 0
2- Then youve to divide this number with x example x in 1 was 3 ==> So you devide by x-3
3- Youll get Stage 1 equation mltiplied by Stage 2 Equation.
4- You have to convert the Stage 2 Equation into 2 Stage 1 Equations.

The answers will be like this form :
x±ax±bx±c=0 ---> Then x would be either a,b,c after negating them. Is possitive then they should be negative, and if negative then possitive.

Hope that helps.
