#2 Re: Help Me ! » what is the median and mode of a group of number? » 2005-03-28 05:22:41

okay, angie, the median is when you put the numbers in least to greatest order and then start with the left side and markone off.go to the right and do the same.keep doing this and the number that is still there,is the median EXAMPLE:numbers:5,9,6,1,1,7,23,54,12,29. least to greatest order:1,1,5,6,7,9,12,23,29,54.mark them off:,,,,,9,,,,the median is 9. if you end up with 2 numbers left then it would be a # in between.EXAMPLE:1,2,3,4 mark off:,2,3,the numbers2 and 3 are left. the number in between is 2.5!

the mode is the one that shows up the most in a group of numbersEXAMPLE:numbers:6,5,9,7,2,2,6,9,8,3 the one that shows up the most 2!(you do not need them in any order!!)
