the 8N can be broken down into x and y components, so can the 7N.
Then just add x components together.
And add y components together.
Use trig to do this.
For 8N:     8 cos(180 + 45) is the x-components   and  8 sin(180+45) is the y-component
Angles are measured from the x-axis going counter clockwise.

four coplanar forces act at a point in the centre of pic (attached).
i need to determine the value of the resultant force using complex notation (expressing answers in polar and cartesian form, showing results in an argand diagram).

im baffled and dont know what to do, can anybody help me?
