Hi clumsy shark;

1)

I am unfamiliar with the terminology. To expand in a Laurent series we need the expansion around the poles. These are the zeros of the denominator.

I get for them 2 and i and -i. What happens with that ring stuff? That is where I am stuck. Do you want to expand it around 2?
