You are correct but I think I agree with Einstein on this point.
There isn't much wrong with the old fashioned way... it can be therapeutic.
I have been doing a better job with them than before but not good enough.
It doesn't hurt to do it by hand -- if you wash everything soon after you use it and don't let them pile up. That way you can almost guarantee you are eating on clean dishes.
I never use mine, I do not even know if it works.
Some people use dishwashers but I don't trust those.
Cooked a dinner for me and my brother and now the sink is full again.
Those are fun.
That was refreshing, even did some of those utensils.

It is neither good nor bad. It is cause and effect. In a Pavlovian way people come to realize that the world heaps many rewards on the aggressive.
But why is that a good thing?
Not necessarily. School has the unfortunate effect of emasculating the human race. In addition to turning out zillions of clones it also produces insecurity. When you start achieving goals that you set for yourself that is what silences the voice of doubt.

Until you start out on your own it will stay small.
