Yes, grandpappym dragged his entire family from the country life to NYC. The cohesion of the family unit was destroyed and a similar thing happened to all of the people here.
Now kids here never see their parents. They learn about things from rappers and celebrities. Many of them lose their way and end up badly.

That was how it used to be, and to some extent it is a bit like that in my country, but in somewhere like London, it is quite different.

True, but the children are expected to help her at all times. The man is busy plowing the field and fighting off predators. Back then the family was a tight unit. They often lived by themselves on a pretty large piece of land. Neighbors were far away. Everyone had a job and they did it or they did not survive.

It's the same in my (country's) culture too. Although they can't be relied upon all the time.

High heat causes all sorts of problems...

That happens to me too. I stirred it alot so probably at least some of the mess was caused that way. The rest I think I had the heat too high and it blew out from under the cover.

Oh, I know the one you are talking about. Maybe the liquid evaporated, condensed on to the cover, and when you lifted the lid off it dripped on to the stove -- that usually happens to me so I regularly tip it over the sink.

No, on the frying pan. It is a big stainless steel one with a see through glass cover. Somehow the liquid got out and onto the stove.
