]]>You are perhaps on a better path than I was. There was no internet and no computers when I was your age. Naturally, there was no programming either. Math was taught in a manner that when we would enter a physics or chemistry class we were completely lost. We knew nothing of how to calculate a number. This effectively ended my dreams of being a biochemist or chemist.
Because I could not relate mathematics to anything in the real world I was always asking the question, what is this good for. So I say learn the computer first. Learn how to calculate real numbers on it. Then take up math. You will never ask the question that confused me so much.
