I know that. I thought I was being funny.
]]>Sorry if I seem to be too whiney about it. Also, sorry I mistyped your name earlier. It really was a genuine typo.

Of course I don't mind. Go ahead. I was referring to the excessive and unnecessary use of smileys, not to the posting of images.
To alleviate the load you can go into Display in profile and uncheck some of the things you have checked. This will bring pages in quicker.
Thanks bobbym. I know I can do that, but I don't have to. I do want to see images, avatars and smileys and I don't have to be forced to turn them off just because one poster delights in inserting 100 smileys in every post he makes. Besides, I think you'll agree that too many smileys in one post are not a pretty sight; they also make the thread difficult to read.

]]>I notice that you're very fond of inserting smileys in your posts. Please don't insert too many smileys per post. Too many smileys slow down the loading of the page for users with slow connection, not to mention the fact that they make the thread very difficult to read.
I'm on mobile broadband so my Internet connection speed is extremely fickle, depending on the volume of traffic. When there are too many people using the Internet and bandwidth is limited, a page with too many unnecessary smileys may be almost impossible to download for me. (Also I'm on PAYG so I have to pay for every byte of data I download the more smileys, the larger the byte-size of the page, meaning the more I have to pay.)
Your co-operation will be appreciated.
